Are AI SEO monitoring tools actually worth it? Yes, if you will act on what they show. AI answers cannot be checked reliably by hand: 40 to 60 percent of cited domains change from one month to the next (Profound, 2025). Only 30 percent of brands stay visible from one answer to the next (AirOps, 2026), so one ChatGPT search proves little either way. Questions before you buy.
What happens if I need more than 30 or 40 questions?
Each plan scans a set number of buyer questions every week: 30 on SMB, and 40 per client domain on Agency. You can keep more than that in your question bank. The extras stay saved but are not scanned, and you choose which questions run by dragging them into order on the Queries page. To scan more, add query packs of 10 questions from the Queries page: $9/mo per pack on SMB, or $29/mo per pack on Agency, where each pack adds 10 questions to every client domain. Packs are prorated. You can also move from SMB to Agency.
Can I switch plans mid-month?
Yes, from your AI Radar settings. Moving up from SMB to Agency takes effect straight away and is prorated, and any SMB query packs carry over as Agency packs so nothing stops scanning. Moving down from Agency to SMB takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep Agency until then and can undo the change before it lands. Before downgrading, remove any extra client domains and Agency query packs, because SMB covers one domain.
What is the difference between single-pass and 3-pass?
Single-pass, on SMB, asks each question once per engine each week, which is the category norm. 3-pass, on Agency, asks each question three times per engine each week and reports how many of the three cited you, for example cited 2 of 3. AI engines can give different answers to the same question, so three passes separate a steady citation from a lucky one. On Agency that is 40 questions across 5 engines, 3 times each: 600 AI answers per client every week.
How long does it take to see results?
The free check returns in about 3 minutes. On a paid plan, your first full scan runs as soon as you confirm your questions and target market on the Setup screen, or automatically 48 hours after purchase if you have not, and the results are emailed to you when the scan finishes. After that, every paid plan scans weekly. Changes you make to pages or listings typically show up in AI answers four to eight weeks later, so judge the trend over a month rather than a single week.
What do I need to provide?
Only your domain. AI Radar reads your site and drafts the buyer questions it will track, and you review them, along with your target market, before the first scan. You can edit, add or remove questions at any time. Two things are optional: connecting Google Analytics 4 with read-only Viewer access, to see AI referral visits next to your citations, and adding links to your review profiles. Nothing is installed on your site.
Does AI Radar improve my citations, or only measure them?
It measures them: each week it asks the real engines your buyer questions and records which sources they cite. Alongside the results, it lists ranked fixes for the answers you are missing, such as a page to strengthen, a thread to reply in or a listing to claim, with a prompt for any change to your own site. The citations move when that work is done, not because the tool is running.
